New Capabilities in Mexico Plant
EE Technologies, Inc. (EET) continues to invest in its Mexico operation in order to continually improve the service to its domestic and international customers. Many customers have products which are required to operate in harsh environmental conditions. To meet the needs of these customers, EET has enhanced their capabilities by the addition of an automated conformal coating processing line. With the new Asymtek Century C-740 In-Line Conformal Coating System and Select Cure UV-6 Cure module, EET is able to apply an accurate coat of liquid conformal coating material and then cure it to provide a board that is tack free and ready for further processing and assembly. The process is unique in its ability to "selectively" coat an assembly for critical applications such as lighting or product identification, or "spray" coat for 100% coverage.
This process is vital for automotive applications and for products where there are strict environmental concerns. EET has been using this process successfully on products for a large automotive customer and expects other new and existing customers to also benefit from this technology. Additionally, EET Mexico has implemented a Teradyne Z1888 In-circuit test (ICT) for higher volume assemblies. The ICT is intended for critical applications where electrical testing is required and the quick cycle times for test result in good return on investment. The Teradyne tester provides detailed parametric test data, and is used for operational quality as well as product debug applications.
