New Flying Probe Test Equipment
EE Technologies, Inc, (EET) of Reno , NV , recently expanded its ability to provide increased productivity and quality with the addition of a SPEA Model 4040 Series II Flying Probe Tester. As the design of electronics becomes more complicated, with smaller and more advanced componentry, it becomes more critical to thoroughly electrically test each component during its manufacture. Unfortunately electrical test equipment, tooling and fixturing are highly expensive and prohibitive in many cases.
Flying Probe technology is a combination of high speed robotics and electrical test equipment. This type of advanced technology allows the test of electronic assemblies without the added expense of dedicated fixtures which could run in to many thousands of dollars. Process checks result in less troubleshooting and reduced rework costs which benefits EET's diverse customer base.
