Our History

Meridian Electronics began in 1995 as an electronics component distributor. Recognition that the electronics business was unstable and lacking satisfying product results, led the founder, Sonny Newman to purchase a small assembly shop. EE Technologies was formed.

 

In March of 2000 and only a mere 20 employees, EE Technologies was focused on providing unwavering assembly services to local customers.

 

By October 2005, EE Technologies expanded further with the opening of a facility in Mexico. The equipment, process, and training in the Mexico facility directly mirrored the operations in Reno. With this addition, EE Technologies was able to provide even lower costs, quick turnaround, and an ease of importation/exportation.  Additionally, both facilities are ISO/TS 16949:2002 certified.

 

Today, the company’s commitment to regular capital investment has increased production capacity over 800% since its inception, and has resulted in the 63,500 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility located in Reno, Nevada.
